A large group of Rabbis and Laypersons (185) spanning Judaism’s religious movements urged Jews not to attend the Beijing Olympics this summer as tourists. The reason is the human rights violations in China. However, the Anti-Defamation League rejected the boycott call for various reasons. Basically, the boycott would do more harm than good.

Anti-Semitism incidents in Canada have quadrupled over the past decade. The spike in Canadian Anti-Semitism comes as similar incidents have declined elsewhere, including in Britain and France. German Reparations

Monthly German reparations to 65,800 victims of the Holocaust worldwide were increased by 8 percent June 1. The German government also agreed to provide pensions to certain survivors who were citizens of the Western European countries at the time of their persecutions in concentration camps or ghettos, or who lost a family member.
